Like a leaf blown away in the wind,
Fallen, a long distance from the tree,
Left to die or be trampled upon
So do memories fall apart one by one.
Like scars from a wound that is healing
A reminder of pain, once our suffering
Slowly fading, blending into our skin,
So do memories fade away one by one.
Like a still photograph of frozen moments,
Or a moving picture, recording every second,
Capturing the past but not time itself
So do memories stay and leave one by one
