A Dead Brother | Shamsur Rabb Khan

A lonely night
Some horrible thoughts
Some familiar faces
Some fading memories
A dead brother
And a lasting pain.

A restless life
Some dying dreams
Some living facts
Some missing moments
A dead brother
And a lasting pain.

A killing time
Some distant relatives
Some lost relations
Some stroking hands
A dead brother
And a lasting pain.

A clear voice
Some confused cries
Some wailing women
Some poor children
A dead brother
And a lasting pain.

How long and how far
In days and nights
That will come
With never-ending wait
For seeing you in imagination
Than alive and living?
