Hearing Emptiness | A.J. Huffman

echo in cacophonic tones of silence
so complete my mind hesitated
to register the gaping absence.  Instinctively,
I held my breath, began to count, was still
unprepared for the reality that imploded,
consuming more than itself.

A.J. Huffman has published twelve full-length poetry collections, thirteen solo poetry chapbooks and one joint poetry chapbook through various small presses.
