The darkness crept up
From behind my window
And formed a silhouette,
Of a black cascade
Resembling an epitome of lost beauty.
The wildfire of an unknown darkness
Mirrored in my dark eyes
Behind the darkness of my last tear,
Lay a bunch of misread thoughts.
Behind my thoughts,
The emotions lay misunderstood
Scrambled like a jigsaw puzzle
Misarranged.
Debadrita Dey is a high school student. She has a love for words, a strange love that must be difficult to explain. Her words found their way to her little mind through her parent’s hands. She has a passion to write, to express herself through distorted yet arranged sentences. Writing gives her peace, happiness, solace and finding ample solitude in the nothingness of the crippled pages. A dreamer on the verge of creating her own world of phrases.
