You know the dark
that can drown words?
I come from that world.
the dark is too dense
for me to reach out,
to pick words that mean things
it is just that dark
that it won't even let words through
so that I can tell you what kind it was.
You saw that dark, didn't you?
when you were in my womb
Were you the only glimmer?
Were you only a glimmer?
