Inside The White Dust | Zaieem Ahmad

Inside The White Dust
On the bent shelf brooding downwards
A layer of dust
White and silky fishes
Twinkling through yellow pages.

I found a reminiscent,
Folded ,cut and plane image
Of my bereaved Mom
Dubbed with pores.

And her earrings still her own
Splashing through pages
And young worms
And so the dust.

A mole under her pink parchment
Her sarees in perfect posture
Her eyes candles of my life
Shut suddenly.
